How much margin leaks away out of your enquiries?

Four figures about your own business. No email address, no sales pitch, no account. You see the result straight away and you can forward it to a colleague.

Your numbers

Every question about a car, through every channel.
The share that gets an answer too late or never, for example in the evening or at the weekend.
How many of those enquiries would become a sale if they were answered on time.
What's left after purchase, preparation and warranty.
Also count your team's time

Fill in the four figures. You'll then see an estimate here based on your assumptions.

Unanswered enquiries are the easiest part to count.

They are also rarely the biggest. These four are harder to measure and usually more expensive.

Conversations that went quiet

The interest was already there and the work to create it is already paid for. One more follow-up means margin straight away, because nothing new has to be added.

Trade-ins you miss out on

Anyone trading their car in with you almost always buys one too. Every trade-in question that dies at the asking stage costs you two margins at once.

Financing that dies

"What does that cost per month" is the clearest buying signal there is. Let a day pass over it and it is usually no longer a signal.

Test drives that do not happen

Whoever sits behind the wheel buys more often. An appointment that is not confirmed or for which the vehicle is not ready is a lost sales conversation.
